KidZania Fun Coming for Kids in India
Targeting children in the age group 4 –14 years, edutainment brand KidZania decides to enter India. It plans to create an educational environment by combining fun and learning.
Headquartered in Mexico, KidZania was founded in Mexico City in 1996 by a young entrepreneur, Xavier Lopez, who dreamed of creating a place where kids could have fun while enjoying real life experiences.
Recently, it had unveiled the Greener World Pledge, a formal online commitment to a healthier planet – uniting the world’s children.

The Pledge was created using ideas submitted by kids from around the globe and is a key component of KidZ for a Greener World campaign, a multi-month, global celebration to amplify the importance of environmental stewardship and encourage kids to imagine, create, and unite for a Greener World.

KidZania is an edutainment indoor theme park built specially for kids. Here, kids can play the roles of fire-fighters, journalists, bankers, doctors, etc. in any one of the authentic role-playing activities.

Kids don‘t just roleplay careers; they earn kidZos (KidZania’s official currency), learn how to manage money (open a bank account, encash cheques), and purchase goods and services.
They learn through experience about different professions, how a city works, financial literacy, local government, care for environment, and how to work both independently and as a team. Kids also get paid kidZos for working in different establishments.
In partnership with a local company ImagiNation Edutainment India, KidZania India’s first centre will be opening in Mumbai next year. The announcement was made today, June 13.
