HDFC Opens Its First School in Gurgaon
Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd (HDFC Ltd), India’s leading housing finance company, has launched its first school ‘The HDFC School’ in Gurgaon, India for the academic year 2015-2016.
According to a statement released Sunday, The HDFC School was inaugurated by Deepak Parekh – chairman, HDFC Ltd. Also present for this event were Keki Mistry – vice chairman & CEO, Renu Sud Karnad – managing director, Anita Makkar, Principal – The HDFC School, among others.

While the school has started its primary education, taking admissions from pre-nursery to grade III this year, it is also in the process of setting up a 5-acre school campus for its higher secondary wing.
Intended to be a full nursery to grade 12 School in time, the school will follow the National Curriculum Framework 2005, and will be a CBSE-affiliated school.

“Our education initiative is an answer to the question ‘Why can’t equal opportunities be provided to all Indians to secure quality education for their children leading to better careers and better lives?’” said Deepak Parekh.
The School is being run by Anita Makkar as its Principal. She is the former Founder Principal of DAV Public School in Gurgaon.
