Raman Media Network: Connecting Communities
Raman Media Network (RMN) Company is a privately held venture, working in diversified content creation, management, and distribution businesses on a global scale. While content for the mass markets is the backbone of its operations, it is building allied businesses around multiple content streams.
As the company is evolving from a fledgling enterprise to an organized corporate powerhouse, it is in the process of building a team of professionals to cover all conceivable business processes inevitable for the growth of a global content company.
At present, the RMN Company is creating multiple content properties and Intellectual Properties (IPs) for the traditional media as well as digital/new-media channels. Its focus business areas are: Online Content, Publishing, Digital Media Campaigns, and Films.
During the past one year of its operations, it has created the following content services and products – all for the global consumers:
RMN Global News Service – It is among the fastest growing news properties in the world.
RMN Kids Site – A relatively newer edutainment destination for children, their parents and teachers across the world.
Robojit and the Sand Planet – After producing it as a novel, it is being developed and positioned as a global entertainment project. The project is suitable for a Hollywood movie, a big-budget digital video game, animation film, TV series, and a comic book.
Raman’s Tech Tale Series: Knowledge Stories for Children – These books are based on our own innovative storybook concept to educate children in the high-tech area of information technology through interesting stories. We have produced four titles in the past one year. More are being published.
Our future activities will include creation of new content properties, transformation of the existing market offerings, production of films, content development for the upcoming online virtual worlds and Semantic Web.
To meet these growth targets, RMN Company is looking for the following people:
1. Position: Marketing Executives – Digital Media
In this position, you will be required to conceptualize and carry out a sales and marketing plan for the company’s online content services as well as brand promotion service offerings to high-end clients.
This will include digital media space selling to advertisers and marketing of integrated brand promotion services to clients to help them leverage new-media including social media and realize the benefits of online communities.
Desired Skills: Exceptional communications and presentation skills with good understanding of Web markets. You will be expected to handle marketing communications, marketing and sales. People, who aspire to make their careers in the new-generation digital media marketplace and are eager to learn the emerging concepts, will enjoy this work. Required experience: 0 to 5 years. Salary and incentives based on business development targets.
2. Position: Business Development Executives – Children’s Content
In this position, you will be required to conceptualize and carry out a sales and marketing plan for the company’s products and services that target school children.
This will include sales of books in schools, community building work involving children, parents, teachers, on-field campaigns/events management for schools, marketing and sales to attract advertisers and sponsors.
Desired Skills: Exceptional communications and presentation skills with good understanding and interest to cover children’s markets. You will be expected to handle marketing communications, marketing and sales. Required experience: 0 to 5 years. Salary and incentives based on business development targets.
3. Position: Content Developers
It goes without saying that people applying as content developers are exceptionally good writers. At the same time, the position expects them to understand the finer nuances of content creation for Gen Y readers. Depending on your interest, you will be required to write on subjects covering business, films, sports, fashion, technology, food, health, environment, politics, and so on.
Desired Skills: Exceptional writing, communications, research, and content creation skills for the fast-paced Web information services. Knowledge of online content management systems (CMS) will help you to a greater extent. Plus, you should be able to develop social media messaging for stories to attract and engage online readers. Required experience: 0 to 5 years. Salary and incentives based on content development targets.
4. Position: Web Developers
This position expects you to handle end-to-end Web development work to create complete Websites full of Web 2.0, collaborative Web features. So, you should be comfortable in handling UX design, CMS design, control panel management, backend platform management, and so on. Interaction with the hosting service provider to ensure 24×7 availability of the Websites will also be your responsibility.
Desired Skills: Programmers who are familiar with the contemporary Web development platforms – particularly the open-source technologies – can apply for this position. It will help you if you have understanding of virtual world platforms and Semantic Web technologies. Required experience: 2 to 5 years. Salary can be discussed.
5. Position: Designers/Illustrators
People in this position will create illustrations and design documents using manual as well as software tools. The documents will be created for print and digital media.
Desired Skills: Artists who have demonstrated skills in this line with complete understanding of creating print as well as interactive-media content can apply. Required experience: 0 to 5 years. Salary can be discussed.
